Straight Talk From The Pastor

Because He Asked Me

Rev 3:7b NKJV

‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens”

Yes, it has been a while since I’ve posted anything on this blog; having said that, I will begin this writing by stating that I am increasingly bothered by the fact contemporary Christianity is trying to make God acceptable to man instead of man becoming acceptable to God.

After all, He makes the blind see and the lame walk! He gives us a garment of praise instead of a spirit of heaviness! He lifts us up, He heals us, He gives us beauty for ashes and stirs up joy again when we are feeling suicidal, – don’t try and change Him to fit within the parameters of your program! Let Him be who He is. His anointing of counsel provides the practical know-how for every day behavior that takes us to the place of living in the midst of our dream.

It doesn’t work to try and hang out with someone who is always trying to change you.  You grieve Him when you try to make Him fit to what you want. In fact you drive Him away with that attitude!

The Key of David is the key of power and dominion. In fact it is even greater than dominion; it is the anointing of conquest – the power and ability to win EVERY TIME! When David went to war, He never lost a battle! What was his secret, or his key? It was the attitude of praise and worship that characterized David’s life. For David, worship wasn’t an event, it was a daily preoccupation. In Psalm 34 it was David who wrote, “I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise shall continually be in my mouth!”

In this writing, let’s look at what we could call, “Our Public Worship

When you come to worship the Lord, there are simple things you can and must do as you work out a right relationship to Him. It’s not a question of your personality or preferences, it’s all about what GOD likes, and what pleases Him.

So many people have trouble buying gifts for other people, because they always choose something that they themselves would like, instead of thinking of the recipient’s likes and dislikes! It’s just like that when you come into God’s presence. It’s time to get yourself off your mind, and to consider how God wants you to behave in that moment to worship Him

First of all we need to STAND in the presence of God. It shows respect and deference. Don’t be casual and act like it doesn’t matter, because the Lord is worthy of honor and reverence. When your kids want to sit down in the worship service, why not start teaching them deference for the Lord!

CLAP your hands first and foremost for the King of kings. If you can clap for the president, and the mayor and the football team, you can clap for the undisputed Lord of Heaven and Earth!

Raise up a SHOUT! There is a sound to victory. You may think you are the quiet type, but if something excites you enough, or if something scares you suddenly you will shout! Don’t wait for the pressure to be on before your shout is forced out – shout willingly for God. Like it was for Israel at Jericho, your breakthrough may be in that shout. Don’t say, “I’m not the shouting type.” You are a shouting type when God tells you it’s time to shout!

LIFT UP YOUR HANDS to Him! It’s a sign of your surrender and an expression of worship. Don’t let it bother you if others aren’t lifting their hands – you lift yours!

Your SONG is also more important than you realize. Singing is not the job of the music team at the front – you need to have a spontaneous song in your heart. In fact you can tell that your life is going down when you lose your song, and the first thing that happens to indicate that you are coming out of the pit is that God will put a new song in your heart! You are still being processed, but you still find a reason to say “Thank you, Lord!” Let your song be heard as you fill your mouth with praise for your God

And yes, I could talk about DANCING before the Lord, I could talk about BOWING down before Him, but I think you get my point, I am simply saying that I want to do what He delights in Because He Asked Me. After all is said and done,

He is worthy of all that and much more.

We all Have Clay Feet

Dan 2:34

You watched while a stone was cut out without hands, which struck the image on its feet of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces.

In the text, King Nebuchadnezzar of ancient Babylon saw in a dream what He perceived to be an invincible image. Daniel explained the dream to him and one would think that he would have properly applied what was told to him. Through a course of events, just two chapters later you find this man out in the wild roaming the fields like a wild animal on his hands and his feet, eating grass like an ox.
Have you ever thought about how close you are to a fall?

One of the things that I was taught early in ministry by my Bishop is that with such free access to social media, we all are just one mouse click, one email, one text, or just one voicemail away from having everything that we’ve done build our integrity and reputation, all can come crashing down and scattered in the wind of public mockery in a matter of moments
We All Have Clay Feet.
None of us are invincible, Proverbs 16:18 teaches us that; “Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall”.

If you have been around any length of time, you will have come to the conclusion that being talented is not enough to bring about success. In fact if people choose you simply on the basis of your gift rather than your heart, then you will be a problem to them and yourself. We are not called to be legends in our own eyes. We are called to serve.
It About Character Development.

I love the story of 1 Sam 22, wherein David while on the run from King Saul,
escapes to the Cave of Adullam.   And everyone who was in distress, everyone who was in debt, and everyone who was discontented gathered to him.(vs.2) We all need those safe havens for our development. It would be a place where people who aren’t necessarily impressive to start with; people with issues and attitude problems, would be able to just come and hide in the atmosphere of the Word and the anointing, until the Spirit of faith and dignity came on them like it did to those men who came to David in the cave.

Later accounts tell of David’s Mighty Men, the very ones who had started out below the bottom rung, but who later were capable of mighty accomplishments and victories.
Just because ‘We All Have Clay Feet’, does not mean we all have to fall.

Feed Your Soul

Give Yourself Every Possible Chance

It’s an interesting feature of being human, that we can only enjoy today when there is something to look forward to in our future. We are not just creatures of the moment, because we are made in the image of God. We are people of vision and purpose.

It’s very important when we have achieved a significant life goal or won a great victory, that we keep walking to embrace something new, or life will start to lose meaning and focus. When Elijah had just defeated the prophets of Baal, stirring up a massive display of God’s power, he had no vision or confidence for confronting Jezebel and ran and hid out of fear.  Depression overtook him, but God came and gave him a fresh assignment and he was able to go forward again.

It is a sobering conclusion to understand that God never calls us to accomplish something that won’t force us to depend on Him. Birthing any kind of dream that God has given involves challenges and seemingly impenetrable barriers. However, I have learned that if I refuse to focus on the size of my own strength and continually look to the God who spoke His word to me, I will be able to accomplish the impossible. We must never be content to let life sit us in a little chair and tell us that there is nothing in our future to reach for. There is a spirit of renewal that is available to us.

Job 14:7-9 shows us how this works
For there is hope for a tree, If it is cut down, that it will sprout again,
And that its tender shoots will not cease.
Though its root may grow old in the earth,
And its stump may die in the ground,
Yet at the scent of water it will bud
And bring forth branches like a plant.

You may have come to a point when natural hope has run out, and depression has begun to creep in; maybe the doctor gave you a bad report, or you may feel cut down by life because of broken relationships, crushed dreams, or repeated failures. The Word says that even if you have been at this place for some time, there is hope for you – it is a supernatural hope and it will cause you to revive and grow strong in an entirely new season of your life. This is the spirit of renewal.

Notice how the renewal takes place: “at the scent of water” the stump will bud. This is talking about the Word of God. When the Word comes to you and strikes your spirit again, fresh life will spring up.

When you are cut down by life, don’t take a break from church, even if your tragedy took place among the believers, because it is the Word that will bring you a fresh scent of what God will do in your life.

Take note that the Word doesn’t come with trumpets and fanfares in neon lights! The Word comes as a scent on a breeze. You just catch it as it is released. It seems light and insubstantial, and you can almost miss it, but it is the key to your breakthrough.

When you are in a painful season, don’t seek the comfort of pitying friends, seek a Word! That is the time when you can’t afford to miss a service because you don’t know when your Word will come forth.

Now you SAY about yourself the same as that Word God sent to you. You have been authorized to decree a thing and it SHALL be established, so make a decision that you are a winner and declare it. Nothing shall be impossible for you. It starts with a decision

Your Word might come as a “what if?” thought. What if I made that phone call to say I am sorry? What if I asked again, went again, tried again? As soon as you catch the scent of it, act on it! It is your way out. There is always something you can do about where you are, even if it is simply to maintain a good attitude in the midst of your situation.

Remember, when trouble is in your life, you won’t understand what is happening to you, so make sure that you let God decide how He will deliver you. The answer usually won’t look as you expect it to. The battle is the Lord’s and by setting your hope and expectation on His goodness, you WILL obtain a good report.

Bright futures respond to an unyielding indomitable determined RESOLVE not to accept the status quo. If you keep looking to circumstances to determine how likely it is that you will win, you are setting yourself up for discouragement or depression.

Please remember, amazing things happen when you pray. People are not defeated by circumstances but by the weakness & malnourishment of their spirit, where the real power resides.

(Prov 18:14),
The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?
So keep your connection with God strong as you commune with Him over His Word.
Always Give Yourself Every Possible Chance.

Father’s Day Praise Dance

The Lord Is My Help

Heb. 13:5b-6 KJV

…..For he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. 6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

Do you realize that when you were at your weakest point in life, with no hope of ever reaching God by any efforts of your own, Jesus Himself got up and came for you! People are hurting in life because someone didn’t come for them, but Jesus came to rescue every man, woman and child out of their place of hopelessness.

Not only that, but having rescued you from the power of sin, He will never leave you alone again – not even for a moment. I know they told you that when you sin you cut yourself off from God so that He can’t help you, but that simply isn’t true. Jesus’ sacrifice was once and for all. That means that the way to Him is open no matter what you have done or what you are doing now, or what you might do in the future.

Is that a license to sin? By no means! There is no truly born again person who is looking for an opportunity to sin and get away with it; but there are many condemned, fearful Christians who have been sold the lie that God is angry with them for what they did yesterday, and because of that He won’t help them.

Listen to the heart of God in this scripture:

He has said, “I will never [under any circumstances] desert you [nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless], nor will I forsake or let you down or relax My hold on you [assuredly not]!” So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently say, “The Lord is my Helper [in time of need], I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?” (Hebrews 13:5-6 Amp)

If everything is going good for you, these are nice words; but if you don’t know what is going to happen tomorrow and your life is hanging in the balance and you don’t know if you are going to make it, and then you bump into this verse, this verse is shouting ground. It will NEVER happen that you will be forsaken. The Lord will always receive you.

God can hold you, whatever you are going through – and He is able to make you bounce back again! He can raise you up again from wherever life took you, because He IS the resurrection and the life. If you think your situation is dead, and your life, your ministry, your marriage, your hopes and your dreams are over – look at this verse one more time and think again! It is not over, even if something or someone already died, you still have a chance. Your life is not over, because the Lord, Himself will help you!

That means you can boldly say, with courage and attitude like you know you have got some help, “The Lord is my helper!” Don’t despair if you are completely on your own; you have the best help that there is! When they start asking you, “How are you going to pay these bills?” “How are you going to get through this?” When your own mind is tripping and telling you that there is no way this situation will ever change, that you are getting too old and things are getting harder, you have to say it boldly, “The Lord is going to help me. The Lord is my helper.”

Then go to the Word. That is the only place you will find peace. Don’t look at your circumstances for peace and reassurance in the midst of a storm, and don’t search in your mind for a confirmation that things will be OK, look to the Word of God. Those who have no faith in God have to make do with the peace supplied by the natural world, but we have the peace that Jesus gave us by the promises of His Word.

Let the Word speak to your mind and to your emotions. Have the discipline to stay with that Word for as long as it takes for it to produce results in your life. Many Christians don’t have victory because they won’t cling to the Word for long enough. Quitting is not an option for you and me; we are destined to win every time!

Tell the devil, “I am not scared of you! I take authority and take captive every thought and bring it to subjection to Jesus Christ. From now on I declare that I have the best help there is! My God doesn’t need any help from me. He knows how to be God and to dig me out of a hole. He knows how to cure the incurable and make a way out of no way. He can handle His business! And His Word is coming to pass in my life!”

Welcome To The Anointing In Our Midst.

Isa 10:27 KJV

And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

As preachers will do, we often find ourselves saying some things that are not scripted in our planned teachings. These are serendipitous moments that if we are safe, we should be able to attribute to the unction of the Holy Spirit. At the closed of my message recently, as I was approaching a time of prayer with the intent to show many in the audience before me that there is a blessedness of being connected to a local body of believers, I said something to this affect, “Everyone that is properly connected to anointing of this ministry is advancing in their personal lives. There is no unemployment that we know of, all that wants to work have jobs, all of our children that want to go college are in college, our people are people with their needs met. We pray until there is a release in the earth, we bombard heaven until the answers come.” I think I even said something like, at this ministry, even though we are not a very large group, we expect you to win in life”. And I went on for a moment to tell of the many prayer sessions that we hold during the week.

I thought about those words after I went back to my office, and reflected on the fact that such statements are very true concerning us. I believe that such should be true in every local Church, if Moses could led such a large group as he did from a place of bondage and there was not a feeble one among them, such should be the case with a people connected to the anointing of a godly leader in their midst. The anointing flows from the head-downward, (Ps. 133).

So, let’s talk about Expectations and see if we can agree, because two cannot walk together unless there is agreement.

We Expect Answered Prayers because we are commanded to pray and ask expectantly for Heaven-sized, Heaven class healing, favor, wisdom, provision and breakthroughs of every kind.

We Expect The Word Of God To Build You, (Acts 20:32)Every time we gather around the Word we should do so with this mindset in the presence of God. We set our hearts to receive, because coming to Church isn’t about just coming to spectate, it is about hearing and being healed; it is about being planted in the house of God and being built together with others to create a living house. It is about a dynamic supernatural relationship with a Holy God.

We Expect Sensitive StewardshipWe expect people to be sensitive to what God is prompting them to do and to give freely and willingly so that the work of the gospel can prosper. When we get people who understand their contribution, and the pastor understands that he mustn’t screw his people for money, we can achieve balance. The needs of the gospel will be met and the people of God will prosper and increase as they are supposed to. It’s insane to expect a harvest knowing full well that you haven’t sown anything. If you don’t sow you have to become good at begging or rationing.  You can’t keep someone broke who gives according to the principles of the Kingdom!

We Expect Our Lives To Reflect Our Redemption – John 16:33 tells us that in the world we will have trouble, but we have been severed from the power of trouble. It may try to come, but we can pray, praise, and worship it off. The devil is no longer empowered to just do what he likes in our lives. We are no longer citizens under his jurisdiction. We enjoy living under a King whose code and values are different. Now we can expect peace, wholeness, soundness, restoration and redemption.

So, for anyone reading this, it is my sincere appeal to you, if not with us, then find a place of worship that ministers the word in a way that you can receive it. As much as any pastor may try, we are not all things to all people. However, when you find that place that can feed you, please embrace the profound ability of God to hold you, to restore your virtue and your self-esteem. Get into the atmosphere of the anointing and let your guard down so that the balm of God’s love can heal every place of lack in your life.

Lift your expectations to believe for these things for yourself, even as you work on embodying them for another. Believe Him to restore to you the years that the locusts have eaten. You don’t need permission from anyone from this point onwards to live life, to prosper and be successful at whatever it is you aspire to do and be.

Welcome To The Anointing

It’s Working For Me!

 2 Corinthians 4:16-17

Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.  For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory

When it seems that every plan of the devil that prevailing in your life, that is the time to pause and bring your emotion in check, in other words, be still and know that you are yet under the care of the Almighty God. Just as God provided another seed for Eve after the devastation of Abel’s death; so He has outmaneuvered the devil in your life too.

Recognize this today, and release your faith for it: “There are more possibilities in my life than it looks like, from where I am standing right now. I am not stranded or trapped; God has saved the best for last.” If you are going to maximize the goodness of God in your life you are going to have to start with the impossible. Don’t start with what you can do by yourself – there’s nothing supernatural in that. If you were fired, don’t think just about getting another job – think about promotion! Go beyond what you would naturally expect. In other words, defy your natural circumstances and keep your expectation fixed on the will of God for you: which is abundance, victory, miracles and blessing.

That means that you will refuse to take instruction from your circumstances. Notice that your circumstances will be talking to you every day – and they will be saying something contrary to your dreams and desires. Always remember, God is standing outside of the little circle that you are in. You have to have the discipline to keep your faith set on what you want, and entrust your dreams to God. If you can keep focus of these two unchanging facts, they will be an anchor for you as you handle circumstances that scream something different from what you believe should be happening for you.

The first is this: God will never mismanage your life. He can be absolutely trusted with the things you have asked of Him in the quietness of your heart. It doesn’t matter who or what is threatening your advance, no one has the ability to meddle with what God is doing in your life.

The second is this: He has the unerring ability and power to work everything together for your good if you will praise Him through it. Even when everyone else is waiting for you to die, like they waited for Paul to die when the snake fastened itself to his hand, God will turn everything for your advantage and use every set back as a set up to take you higher.

Just as Joseph was thrown into jail, even after he had worked his way up in Potiphar’s house, and hadn’t done anything wrong, the jail was just a set up for the throne. When things turn in a direction that stuns and dismays you, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you have done anything wrong. It’s just that this is your path to where you have dreamed about.

You are believing for promotion, but it seems like all of a sudden, what you thought was your way up, starts to shut down. God is simply removing the things that you thought were your security, but which were actually hindering your advance. That is the time to hold steady and trust God. Even though it feels shaky and insecure because your manna has dried up, the truth is that you are about to step into your Promised Land. Don’t camp in the place of transition – let God take you into that land!

Your current fights are a set up in preparation for your ruler ship. You are just like David, who fought the lion and the bear on the hillside, and then had to meet Goliath in one to one combat and slay him too. Without those struggles against the wild animals and the giant, Goliath, David would have remained a shepherd boy whose father didn’t even believe in him.

We aren’t going to get depressed about our current situation; this storm won’t last a life time. Instead, according to 2 Corinthians 4:17, it will work for us a far more exceeding weight of glory, if we will keep our eyes on the goal.

In fact, in the economy of God, life always comes out of death. If you are experiencing a death of something, or a weakness or pain in your natural man, which is telling you that you lack the strength to finish your course, it is so that the resurrection life of God can be revealed in you. Get comfortable with God using your life to get glory, because even though he uses you for his purposes, he also pays very well.

You will not run out of strength before you finish your assignment. Get ready for God to take you into bigger territories and onto higher levels. Don’t allow yourself to grind to a halt because of a challenge or a storm. Others can hate and dismiss and reject you, but God is preparing a table for you!

Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.  For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.

Your life is in His hands, declare and set your faith in the God that cannot lie. Receive sufficient grace to go through and to have a new lease of life.

The last word in our life is victory!”

You Are Already Anointed

But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you.

1 John 2:27 NKJ

Why do you go to church? Are you like many Christians who go out of habit, or to salve their conscience, or maybe to check out the talent among the congregation?

But church shouldn’t be purely natural; we are a supernatural people!

Hopefully, we can move to the place where we put an end to church that is predictable and academic; Church should not just be a classroom, because God Himself is not someone we are supposed to simply learn about – He is alive and real and He wants us to have an ongoing experience with Him

Ours should be like when Paul preached in the book of Acts, and while He was still preaching, the Holy Spirit fell. Thus we will leave Church saying, today was time spent in demonstration of the Spirit and of power.

Some Churches go as far as to say that the times for those things has passed away and that our job is to focus on preaching the gospel so that people can get born again. No, we are to settle for a Christianity that is based on rhetoric and fine sounding sermons. Being born again is vital, but it is far from the fullness of what God has for us. In fact, it is just the beginning. If it was all about just getting born again, then God may as well let us die as soon as we make our decision for Him! But He doesn’t do that, because there is so much more that He has in store for us to experience of His goodness and power.

You can be one of two types of Christian: you can let your faith rest in the in the wisdom of men, which will work to some degree. The wisdom you receive will help you in many ways. But what will you do when you come up against something that you cannot shift in the natural realm?

Or, you can be someone whose faith rests in the power of God. You depend on and trust in the manifestation of the anointing to see the impossible accomplished in your life.

Have you ever seen the power of God to the point where it challenges your natural thinking? If not, then you haven’t really experienced the anointing in your life. Yet the Word tells us that when you got born again, you received an anointing that abides. You have access to another realm – the realm of the supernatural!

Jeremaih 2:13 gets to the heart of the problem:

“For My people have committed two evils: They have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, And hewn themselves cisterns—broken cisterns that can hold no water.

The day that any church group reject the Holy Ghost is the day that they lose touch with their real source of power. If you neglect His presence, you start to rely on people. If you bypass the possibility of the supernatural, you fall back on natural power to make things happen in your life.

God wants to flow through you like you are on His level. He wants you to be able to take care of business EVERY time. He wants you to be like Jesus, who healed THEM ALL!

The distinguishing hallmark of Jesus was that He was anointed with the Holy Ghost and POWER. According to the book of Acts chapter 10, this was the message that went all about the region concerning Him. This was the reason that people flocked to Him, and this was the reason that miracles constantly happened in His presence.

We are supposed to operate just like our savior. There is power on the inside of you, but just like the electricity in my house, if I am ignorant of what I have and I fail to turn the switch, I will be groping in the dark like a man who has no electricity. I will find other ways of getting around my house – maybe light a candle to give me a little light, or even just go to bed and wait for the sun to come up.

Christians who don’t believe in the power within, and who fail to make a demand on it, are like sleeping giants, operating far below their ability and calling. It is as if they decided to live in a house with no lights, when electricity was available all the time!

It’s time to stir up the gift of God on the inside of you. It’s time to recharge your anointing and become hungry for God, and for the life that He has made available for you. Spend time in His presence. Pray until something in you changes and you become clear. You will get stronger and stronger as you stir yourself up. There are levels of glory that you will only access when you get stirred up!

Praise Him until you know that you are in His presence, standing face to face. At that moment you know that you can access His power. Become quiet and yield to Him. Receive your answers; receive your fresh anointing and your infilling. Then step out ready to possess what you obtained in prayer.

Decide to step out beyond where you have gone before. Come to church expecting to hear and to be healed. Come expecting God to move in your circumstances. Come to church because it’s the place of His power!

Consistent Victory and Conquest

Ephesians 2:12

At that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.  13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

The will of God is for us to maximize life; for us to be whole in every area of our lives.

Yet not every Christian manifests the will of God. This scripture gives us a poignant insight into why this is so: If Christians don’t know their covenant, it is as though they are living their lives without God.

In order for a person to get hold of the manifestation of God’s promises contained in His Word, he has to focus less on the problem he is facing and more on the answer from the Word. He must put God in remembrance of that Word in full expectation of it coming to pass, and not get hung up on “being real;” or “just saying it how it is.”

This business about words is more important than most of us realize. Especially the word of God. As we fill our hearts with the Word, that Word will determine and map out the boundaries and the quality of the life we experience as, out of the overflow of what is in our hearts, we speak the Word over our lives and situations.

Just as the rudder of a ship alters the course of a huge vessel on the sea, so the Word that our hearts are full of, has the power to turn the course of our whole lives. This is the mystery of a supernatural life of conquest over every challenge.

This process isn’t just easy. All kinds of influences and thoughts assail our minds through the day. But we have to guard our hearts with all diligence.

In fact, the reason we HAVE to come to Church; is because of the deficit of our minds. If we don’t come and place ourselves under the Word, our minds will stray.

Fill your heart with the Word on purpose in a systematic and passionate way. Let the Word be first on your agenda. Focus your mind on the will of God for you and don’t let depression, sickness, bills and challenges of all kinds consume your heart. You are not a victim: you have options. You are equal to life because you have the Word to put you over and give you conquest.

Far too many people don’t fly high, they are constantly broke, constantly sick, depressed, get fired, lose opportunities and can never prosper because they Do And Say Everything They Feel Like.

Freedom is not the ability to do and say what you want. Freedom is the ability to do and speak As You Ought. Have you ever wondered how your wrong concept of freedom has already cost you and will cost you in the future?

Freedom is when you mature to the point that you rule your Spirit as opposed to your emotions ruling your life. It takes more strength to only do what you need to do in order to accomplish your purpose and be effective than it does to do and say everything you think or feel.

Real freedom is rooted in self-control, which is not the same as bondage. We restrict our own freedom in order to create and accomplish something far bigger than just feeding our own individual liberty. Proverbs 25:28 tells us that, “Whoever has no rule over his own spirit is like a city broken down, without walls.

Make a decision to rule your spirit and emotions. If you really believe that your words are heard in Heaven, then you must live in the consciousness that the angels will assist you because of your words. With that in place you will start to release only words that you want to see become flesh in your life. Don’t start saying, “It’s just not happening!” You don’t want those words to become your reality.

If you really can’t bring yourself to say, “It’s working for me now,” when you still can’t see anything; at least learn to say nothing and keep silent!

Don’t speak against your advancement, speak the Word! Whoever will give voice to the Word will get the angels to move. The ability to rule in any arena starts with getting a hold of yourself first. That is one of the secrets of consistent conquest and victory.

Acts 13:36a

For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell asleep, was buried with his fathers.

What Is Your Passion?

You were not born just to work at your secular job and have kids and then die. Surely you don’t think that can satisfy you? It is only fulfilling your purpose that will satisfy you. Every day you should breathe the purpose for which you live.

I don’t want a shallow existence.  As a shepherd over God’s heritage, my constant request is, “give me someone to preach to”. Everything in me is focused on that aim because I have been infected with the purposes of God and I have so much of His word in my spirit. I am frustrated when I cannot talk about Jesus. The dangerous preacher is the one who has to preach because he can’t do anything else. As for me, fresh insight and revelation is what I want to give to people.

I am not trying to be popular, because I am not running for office, someone else will have to do that. I am focused on building the Church of Jesus Christ. I don’t play with it because I know that it is God who has entrusted these truths to me.

As a Church leader I know that I must still open the Bible because it is the source of all the purposes of God. The Church of Jesus Christ is worth spending My life for. Satan should not win this generation.

What are you going to give your life to? What will you spend your life on?

We are bigger than the things that have got our attention, especially if those things are not giving meaning to someone else. Your life can give someone else purpose.

You are not insignificant. When is your life going to be about something bigger than me, myself and I? Today we have an opportunity to live for something greater than ourselves and to make a mark on this generation that will last throughout eternity.

Again, the question is, how deep does this passion for the purpose of God go? Please know that when you rise God will make you stand on whatever platform you want to stand. The first question is, “will you serve the purpose of God in this generation?”
