Pastor Johnny Legons.

Having sensed a divine call into Christian ministry in the year of 1980, He enrolled in Luther Rice Seminary in Jacksonville Florida. Having to work fulltime and with two children and a wife, He attended and later graduated from seminary in the year of 1993 with a degree in Biblical Studies and Pastoral Ministry. During those early years of ministry, He served as senior pastor of The Lenard Street Church of God. Brooksville Florida, He also served as interim pastor in Gainesville Florida and later as the Assistant Pastor of the New Kings Road Church of God in Jacksonville Florida. He is currently the Senior Pastor the of The Greater Harvest Christian Fellowship, formerly Beverly Hills Church of God in Jacksonville where He have served for the past 24 years.

In addition to serving as senior pastor, He currently serves on the Elder’s Board of the Florida Church of God’s Ministry and has served on the Credential Committee well. He is also the Northern District Elder for the Florida State Association Of The Church Of God.

Pastor Legons was happily married to his supportive wife, Annice W. Legons for 45 wounder years at the time of her passing in 2021. He is the father of two very fine children, Jacinda, and Javon. He feels his greatest strength of ministry is in clearly teaching the Word of God. He asserts that his passion is to serve God by serving this present age, and the people God allows him to shepherd, Hs testimony is, “I can truly say, God has blessed me richly”.
