Building You Future

Building You Future

James 3:2

If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.

We can tell how perfect you are based on the words you speak. The words that are in your life control your whole body. Speaking comes before action every time.

In the gospel of John (6:63), Jesus teaches us on the anatomy of words. He lets us know that words or contain a spiritual element and words also produce what they are directed towards, (spirit and life).

The words you live under lead you either into fear, defeat, victim mindset and self condemnation, or into peace, self esteem, confidence and faith. If you want to find pleasure in where you end up in life, you first have to choose the words that will take you to such a destination.

Notice as you read on in James, that he likens the tongue to the rudder of a ship, determining its course. The winds do not have the final say where the ship ends up – the rudder does.

There are all kinds of winds. In the sea of life you will be tossed to and fro by the different seasons, but you can still set your rudder. An illness, getting fired, someone dying; they are not what is going to turn your life’s course unless you get in agreement with their discouraging prognosis for how your life will end up.

Scripture is replete with teachings on about the words that shape our lives, for instance in 1 Peter 1:23, we are told that our new birth is a results of, “Having Been Born Again, Not Of Corruptible Seed But Incorruptible, Through The Word Of God Which Lives And Abides Forever”. The word of God is call seed to your future. Question; what do you do with seed? You must sow seed. If you don’t sow seed, you will not reap a harvest. One of the most damaging things we often see, is people speaking against their own advancement. We can sow the seed for our advancement while we are in the church among the company of believers by what we say, especially in an environment where we are asked to repeat or make confessions over our lives. Then we take the seed out of the ground at home by talking about what will never happened for us.

The words of your mouth pilot you to your destination. If you want a life that is worth living, you must never give up your right to choose the words you live under.

Bad experiences don’t control you. In fact challenges are an opportunity for you to get better as a person. But the words you believe and speak will direct your life.

In the passage, the writer mentions the tongue because it is what produces and issues forth our words – so literally it is our words that pilot us to certain destinations.

One other truth about the matter how life in the kingdom of God is designed to bring about manifestation. It is a revelation that I got from what Jesus teaches in discipline of prayer. In Luke 17: 21, here Jesus teaches us that the entire “Kingdom of God” is within us — All of heavens resources are already inside of you when you accept Jesus.

So If The Kingdom Of God Is Within Us….It wont be about us looking upward for heaven to come down to us, it will be about us pushing out the heaven that God has placed in my heart by speaking words of faith, whether in prayer or confession.

 WOW.

I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;  Marvelous are Your works,And that my soul knows very well.
